I don’t really make new year resolutions but I do like a good challenge and this year I challenge myself with two things: to blog regularly and to knit more socks. So here I am today blogging about socks.
Since I started knitting I have made a few pairs of socks, not all successful regarding fitting, but I do love wearing them. So I decide that this is the year that I will master the art of sock knitting by making a pair for each month.
And yes, I do know that we are in the middle of February, but I finished this pair in the month of January.
For my first pair I follow the Winwick Mum basic sock pattern and I used Drops Fabel yarn in salt and pepper (print 905) for the main sock and grey (uni colour 200) for the cuffs, heels and toes.
Although I made them for myself, my older son wears the same size, so I gave them to him. Anyway with the way that his feet grow they will be mine again in no time.
By the way I am almost done with the February pair and I’m looking for the next pattern, so I’m open to suggestions.
