Summer Bag

crochet-drawstring-bag

If there is a bag i enjoied this summer, it’s the one on the picture. I made it with cotton yarn, shaped like a pouch, and attached two straps so i could wear it on my back. It has adequate capacity and is quite light. Because it doesn’t burden my arms I ended up carrying with me all the time, be it shopping, at the playground with the kids… Everywhere!

lining

For the lining and the straps I use this cotton fabric. With the same fabric I made pockets to easily organize items (wallet, keys, cellphone).

strap

I use slide adjusters for the straps.  I use D-rings to join the straps with the bag.

I didn’t have a patern for the bag. Inspiration came from pinterest and I improvised the rest. I start by making five sunburst squares, which I join to make a cylinder. Then I increase the length, from both sides, with double crochet rows. I made the bottom seperately and sew them together at the end. I hope it makes sense to you.

That’s it!
