Crochet Floor Cushion Cover

I can’t believe that two months passed since my last post; time really flies.

In my kids room we used to have a floor pillow that was comfortable and practical, but i didn’t like how it looked. When we didn’t use it, I used to hide it under the bed. Until one day i had the idea to make a cover, why didn’t i think of that before?

The pattern is very simple it it can be adjusted easily.  The basic instructions are given below:

floor-cushion

Abbreviations:

ch: chain

dc: double crochet

sl st: slip stich

st(s): stitch(es)

Make two sides.

Every round start with a ch 2, that counts as one dc and close with a sl st in the second loop of that ch.

Round 1: In magic ring work 10 dc (10sts).

Round 2: Work 2 dc in eash st around. (20sts).

Round 3: Work 2 dc in next st, 1 dc in next, around (30sts).

Round 4: Work 2 dc in next st, 1 dc in next 2 sts, around (40sts).

Round 5: Work 2 dc in next st, 1 dc in next 3 sts, around (50sts).

Round 6: Work 2 dc in next st, 1 dc in next 4 sts, around (60sts).

Continue to increse each round in this manner until you reach your desired diameter.

For the next rounds work 1 dc in each stitch until you reach your desired length.

Make the other side and sew them together, closing the pillow inside. Or you can sew half of the circumference and use buttons on the other half.
